Somerville Visioning Meetings to be Held Around City Including Ward 5

Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone and Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development Monica Lamboy announced that the City will hold a series of Visioning Meetings throughout the months of December and January, as part of the City’s efforts to prepare a Comprehensive Plan in order to help prepare the city for the upcoming Green Line Extension, Orange Line Station at Assembly Square, and to anticipate and plan for other change around the City.

The Somerville Comprehensive Plan is a vision of what the City wants to become, and the steps needed to achieve that vision. Based on factual data and comprehensive analysis, the Plan's focus is on city-wide goals and policies and the strategies for implementing them.

Meetings will be held as follows:

Tuesday, December 1, 2009
Albert F. Argenziano School at Lincoln Park, 290 Washington St.

Wednesday, December 9, 2009
Holiday Inn, 30 Washington St.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009
TAB Building, 167 Holland St.

Tuesday, January 5, 2010
The Center for Arts at the Armory, 191 Highland Ave.


All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.
