After a roll call vote, all 11 members of The Board of Alderman have approved supporting the Dream Act!
Legislative File # 190134 has been adopted by the Board of Alderman tonight after hearing touching testimony from Somerville High School students that would be directly affected by this bill.
The item reads: That this Board of Aldermen go on record in support of the DREAM Act being considered by congress right now and urges our Congressman and Senators to support the DREAM Act, which provides certain conditional rights and protections to children of immigrants.
