The Mayor's Young Somerville Advisory Group (YSAG) invites all interested Somerville residents to the presentation of their annual report on Wednesday, October 20th at 6:30 p.m. Following the "State of Young Somerville" event with Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone in May, YSAG will present recommendations, concerns and ideas on City issues to Mayor Curtatone during the presentation which will take place at The Burren, 247 Elm Street, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
YSAG is comprised of Somerville residents representing individuals in the 21-35 age range, which comprises approximately 42% of the City's population. In 2007, the Mayor convened YSAG to advise the City about and discuss issues relevant to this age group.
The winner of the YSAG Logo Contest will also be announced during the presentation. Artists and community members submitted logo ideas over the last several weeks, and YSAG members have narrowed the field to three finalists, in alphabetical order: Brian Glueckert, Daniel Hadley, and Rajiv Ramaiah. The winning artist will receive a $150 stipend.
