Community Path Extension From Cedar To Lowell To Be Discussed During Parks and Open Space Special Committee Meeting

A September 23rd submission regarding the Community Path extension from Cedar to Lowell by Alderman Sean O'Donovan will be included on the agenda for the next Parks and Open Space Special Committee Meeting tentatively scheduled for November 22nd at 6pm. Please note that there are other items on the agenda that will be dealt with that evening.

The item reads: That the Executive Director of the Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development appear before this Board to report on the delay of the development of the undeveloped portion of the community path from Cedar Street to the Lowell Street bridge (3rd request).

Maybe the third time is the charm?

With money already secured for the extension, a design consultant will be brought on to begin planning in the coming months. The State has agreed to parallel the design of the path with the design of the green line extension. For right now, the path will be extended piece by piece unless funding changes that pace.
