The City of Somerville will host a celebration on Saturday, January 29th from 1-3 p.m. to honor the City’s commitment to its youth, as well as to celebrate the City’s designation as one of the nation’s “100 Best Communities for Young People” by the America’s Promise Alliance.
In 2010, Somerville was selected by the Alliance for the third year in a row. The event will include raffles, giveaways, live entertainment by youth performers, exhibitions by some of the City’s top youth-serving agencies and organizations, and games and activities for youth of all ages.
It will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Somerville High School gymnasium, 81 Highland Avenue.
