This Week For Somerville Schools...

• Saturday, January 29th from 1:00-3:00 PM at Somerville High School - We are the best! We are the best! (One of the 100 best anyway!) Join the City of Somerville for a celebration of our status as one of the 100 best communities for young people in America. Games, performances, a scavenger hunt and opportunities to meet representatives from more than 60 organizations serving youth and families in Somerville.

• Sunday, January 30th from 2:00-4:00 PM is FAFSA Day at Somerville High School (81 Highland Avenue) – get FREE help filling out college financial aid forms

• Sunday, January 30th from 3:00-5:00 PM a free family music concert is being hosted at the Argenziano School (290 Washington Street) by the Somerville Family Learning Collaborative.

• Monday, January 31st – Developing strategies for behavior management at home is the focus of the free family workshop offered by the Somerville Family Learning Collaborative and the SPED PAC from 6:30-8:00 PM

• Wednesday, February 2nd - ECIP (Early Childhood Integrated Program) lottery registration starts at 10:00 AM. ECIP information sessions will take place on February 2nd at 9:00 AM and February 3rd at 5:00 PM at the Capuano Center (150 Glen Street). • FINALLY! Willy Wonka: The Musical goes up for its 3 day run on Thursday, February 3rd at 7:00 PM. See the show Thursday or Friday night at 7:00 PM. A family-friendly matinee option is available on Saturday at 2:00 PM. You can buy your tickets at Somerville High right before the show.

• BMI testing is taking place in schools this week in partnership with Shape Up Somerville

• MCAS biology retests will be administered at Somerville High this week.

Planning Ahead

• Open Houses at Somerville High School are scheduled for February 8th and 9th! Tours take place in the morning and afternoons.
