Also, offering discounts is Olde Magoun’s Saloon (518 Medford Street) with 10% off every third time you check-in. Just hand your phone to the waitress or bartender to receive your reduction off your food tab. Their Twitter handle is @MagounsSaloon.
Both Ball Square Café and Olde Magoun’s Saloon have Facebook “Like” pages, as well. You can find them if you are a fan of Ward 5 Online on Facebook.
What is FourSquare? According to Business Insider, “Foursquare is a location-based social networking service, mostly used on smartphones. The idea is that people "check-in" to venues they're at -- restaurants, bars, stores, etc. -- which lets users keep track of where their friends are hanging out. There's also a game involved, where users earn points for their activity and unlock "badges." And if you check-in the most to a venue, you become the "mayor." The company has signed numerous partnerships with big brands to promote the service, and is working on business development projects with local merchants.”

Eat at Jumbo's is the only other Somerville business that has a 4 Square Special that I could see.
Of course if any more Somerville businesses are interested in social media marketing, I'd be happy to help them out.
