Finance Committee To Meet Tonight!

The Finance Committee, chaired by Ward 2 Alderman Maryanne Heuston, will be meeting tonight to discuss the following agenda items:

· 190591: Recommend Requesting an appropriation of $26,074 from the Capital Projects Stabilization Fund to purchase a vehicle for the Police Dept.

· 190711: Recommend Requesting authorization to enter into a street tree planting contract in excess of three years.

· 190790: Recommend City Solicitor requesting to pay a prior fiscal year invoice of $4,600 in the Law Office to Lucy Jen.

· 190791: Recommend City Solicitor requesting to pay a prior fiscal year invoice of $125 in the Law Office to the Boston Bar Assn.

· 190844: Recommend City Clerk requesting approval of his Public Official’s Bond.

· 190918: Recommend Requesting approval of a $20,000 grant from the MA Cultural Council for the Arts Council’s ArtsUnion programming.

· 190919: Recommend Requesting approval of a $12,213 grant from the Charles E. Shannon Jr. Community Initiative for Police Dept. anti-gang activities.

· 190920: Recommend Requesting approval of a $4,400 grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance for the Police Dept.

· 190921: Recommend Requesting approval of a $1,000 grant from America’s Promise Alliance, to conduct a local celebration.

· 190942: Recommend Requesting approval of an extension of the Homeland Security Grant Memorandum of Agreement with the City of Boston to December 31, 2012.
