Groundwork Somerville's "Spring into Action!" Camp at the Growing Center this April!

Groundwork Somerville is excited to be holding another year of "Spring into Action!" Camp at the Growing Center this April. Second and third graders are invited to register now for this fun vacation week program that focuses on environmental education and physical activity, and gives children experience preparing balanced meals. Attending students will get to play, plant, and cook in the Community Growing Center’s garden space and go on a field trip to Gaining Ground’s vegetable farm in Concord, MA. They write, "Dear Second and Third Grade Somervillians: What are you doing over vacation? Come explore, play, cook, dance, dig, plant, race, meet new friends and have fun in the garden! “Spring into Action!” April Vacation Week Program provides environmental education and physical activity, and gives children experience preparing balanced meals. Second and third grade campers cook and eat their own delicious lunch each day. They participate in outdoor activities in the Community Growing Center’s garden space, and go on a field trip to Gaining Ground’s vegetable farm in Concord, MA. $100 fee, sliding scale.
