Single Stream Recycling Holding Steady In Ward 5

Single stream recycling is holding steady in the pilot area of Ward 5 since its implementation in October of last year. Although snow made for difficult data collecting, the amount of recycling has increased steadily.

Launching the program city-wide is proving to be difficult both data and cost wise. Although most Somervillians express their jealousy to me almost daily, funding for the barrels has not been secured as of yet. A grant funded the barrels for the pilot area.
