On October 25th, I will be moderating a Candidate's Forum at First Church Somerville UCC located at 89 College Avenue right outside of Davis Square. This will be my first time moderating a discussion and I'm very appreciative that my church asked me to do this. First Church Somerville UCC, a progressive church home for spiritual seekers, is hosting a Candidate Forum on Tuesday, October 25. Candidates for alderman in Somerville, both incumbents and challengers, will engage in a panel discussion dedicated to issues of social justice, such as poverty, immigration, and environmental sustainability. Courtney O’Keefe, First Churcher and popular commentator on political issues in Somerville (http://www.ward5online.com/) will moderate the event. Sweets and a chance to meet the candidates will precede the panel discussion."
