Some Acronyms Are Good...Others, Not So Much

OSPCD is a great example of a recognizable acronym here in the city, especially on the meeting front where they are regulars in the Aldermanic Chambers. The mere sound of the letters strung together brings about thoughts of Rob May's perfect goatee and Brad Rawson's handsome face.

However, the city may want to REALLY read an acronym before they publish it on their website to avoid any...confusion.

Example: "BRA EXECUTIVE MICHAEL GLAVIN NAMED NEW HEAD OF OSPCD"

Of course, BRA is the acronym for the Boston Redevelopment Authority and Michael Glavin is an excellent addition to the department. Maybe the Communications Department wants to try new avenues to get people to read press releases. Truth be told, it got me to read it, but do I count?
