The Legislative Matters Committee will hold a public hearing on the proposed Local Hiring Ordinance that has been before the Board for months.
Legislative file #191563 was submitted in June of 2011 by Ward 2 Alderman Maryann Heuston and Alderman At Large Bruce Desmond, the file has sparked big turnouts at City Hall and much debate over whether it discriminates against nonresident workers.

The meeting will be held in the Aldermanic Chambers of City Hall on Thursday November 17th at 7pm.
