The Public Hearing convened by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, December 14th in the auditorium of Somerville High from 4-6 p.m. .
Currently, there is a proposal before the State Board of Education to establish a second charter school in the City of Somerville. This proposal has gained serious attention from parents on the Somerville-4-Schools Yahoo Group.
The group advocating for the new school is Somerville Progressive Charter School (SPCS).
The group in opposition of the new school is Progress Together for Somerville.
Please note that speakers will have 3 minutes at the podium and that it will be videotaped.
