What Were the Hot Topics of 2011? You Decide...
2011 was an exciting year to be a Somervillian. Elections, Assembly Square, Green Line delays, Local Hiring Ordinance, and GIC are just a few of the headlines that grabbed people’s attention throughout the course of the year.
So, what grabbed your attention? What were the topics that kept you glued to local newspapers and wesbites?
On December 23rd, I will begin exploring these topics in short posts on the website based on reader feedback. So, please comment your ideas below or email them to me for mention in the next couple of days!

Assembly definitely
assembly, but also the stuff on Magoun.
p.s. I love your graphic
elections, assembly, and the meth lab
I liked the little headlines like the new 311 App and business stuff in Magoun.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year, Courtney!!
Definitely the elctions and Assembly Square and the GLX. Loved your poll/rumor mill on electeds, too. Ought to reinstate that this year for the state offices.
In 2011, Somerville streets were not safe for young women after dark; AND, the general public day or night.
My favorite story was the one about the Mayor's brilliant long-term strategy for the future of Magoun Square. Oh, wait. He doesn't have one, does he? Ooops!
Well, Merry Christmas, anyway.
As you put it: "the revolving door at City Hall"
Courtney-
Elections, little headlines, and Magoun. Those are the reasons why I read and will continue to read Ward 5 Online.
Thanks & keep up the good work,
Chris
