On Sunday, April 15th from approximately 11:00 am - noon, secondary roads in the Magoun neighborhood will experience some temporary traffic disruption to accommodate the annual Shape Up Somerville Road Race.
The race course will begin at the City Hall Concourse, continue down Highland Avenue to Cedar Street, onto Broadway through Magoun Square, onto Medford Street to Walnut Street and end at Highland Avenue.
Police and other City officials will be stationed throughout these areas to direct traffic and provide detour information.
If you are interested in participating in the adult 2.7 mile race or if you have a young child interested in a Fun Run and children's activities, please join us on the City Hall Concourse beginning at 10am on Sunday. Registration is $5 for children, $20 for adults, and includes a t-shirt and post-race refreshments.
