Could a little section of storefronts on Highland Avenue become the newest hotspot for locally owned businesses? Yes...if you believe the word on the street.
According to The Somerville Scout, Kick Ass Cupcakes could be occupying the 199 section with a retail-bakery, still keeping their 378 Highland Avenue spot too. The 199 space was once the home to the Chocolate Tarte which left earlier this year. Sara Ross, owner of Kick Ass Cupcakes, has not formally confirmed.
For those of you playing at home, this is the second time I'm mentioning this area as I reported earlier that M.F. Dulock-craft butcher extraordinaire-will be opening up shop soon at 201A Highland Avenue. I actually stopped by there earlier this week and saw some serious construction work happening inside!
This area is also home to a beauty salon and a barber shop and has The Armory on the same side at 191 Highland Avenue.
