I want to remind you about the fundraiser I am having for the Elizabeth Warren for U.S. Senate campaign this Sunday, June 10, from 4-6 PM at our house, 29 Conwell Street in Somerville (near Somerville Hospital). It’s rain or shine: hopefully it will be outside in our backyard, but if the weather is bad, it will be in our house. The speakers will be Senator Pat Jehlen and Rep. Denise Provost. There will be live music -- a wonderful local brass band – and refreshments. Over 50 people have already told me that they’re coming, so there should be a good crowd.

The Elizabeth Warren campaign took a big step forward last Saturday when Elizabeth received an overwhelming 95% of the vote at the Massachusetts Democratic Convention, making her the official Democratic Party nominee. I believe this election is winnable, but a lot will depend upon how much effort people who care about the future of our Commonwealth and our country make to bring the campaign’s message to their friends, relatives, co-workers, and neighbors. There will be an opportunity to connect with people who are active in the local campaign on Sunday. I have been working on the local Somerville campaign to elect Elizabeth Warren to be the next U.S. Senator from Massachusetts, and I am enthusiastic about her as a candidate and as a potential leader for our country.
Please come on Sunday. If funds are an issue, please just give whatever you can and come to support the Elizabeth Warren campaign and to meet some of the people who are working on the campaign. Hope to see you in our backyard!
