Daddy Jones Holds Official Grand Opening!

Daddy Jones Bar invited guests and family to their kick-off private party this past Monday. Although the new Magoun Square eatery has been open since the beginning of November, they did not have an official grand opening.

Serving their famous Mac n’ cheese and hors d’oeuvres, the Daddy Jones staff welcomed other Magoun Square business owners, Congressman Mike Capuano and his wife, as well as, Aldermen Sean O’Donovan and Maryann Heuston.

Daddy Jones Bar has occupied the former Lil’ Vinny’s space and went through a major reconstruction this past summer. The bar has been relocated to be a major focal point in the right-side dining section with a smaller area set aside for high-top tables, multiple person table, and small wet bar on the left.

The space has been filled with an eclectic mix of antiques and modern pieces that include vintage wood box speakers alongside contemporary speakers that carry music out of the DJ booth, throughout the restaurant. Backlit lockers salvaged from a closed elementary school hold glassware behind the bar and both doors have been replaced with refurbished antiques.

The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday, 5pm-1am with the kitchen closing at 10pm.
