Public Works and Utilities to Meet Tonight

The Committee on Public Works and Utilities will be meeting this evening to tackle a nine item agenda that includes flooding, non-working street lamps, and that pesky "double pole" list just to name a few.

The double pole issue has been diligently worked on by the committee, utility companies and the DPW which, collectively, have brought it down from a few hundred to around 30 or so. If there's a double pole in your neighborhood, please call 311 and report it!

Chaired by Ward 5 Alderman Sean O'Donovan, the meeting starts at 6pm and will be held in the second floor Committee Room of City Hall.

Other members of the committee include Alderman At Large Jack Connolly and Ward 7 Alderman Bob Trane.

Is this meeting open to the public?

Gas company seems to have marked up glenwood street for cutting, but calls to central office don't seem to know if/when any digging would be done.

Thanks.
