MaxWells Green Developer One of Five Davis Square Hotel Bidders

Courtesy of MaxWellsGreen.Com

Gate Residential and KSS Realty Partners, the two firms responsible for the Maxwells Green project on Clyde Street in Ward 5, is one of five bidders looking for the right to build a hotel in Davis Square.

The other four bidders, according to a BostonHerald.Com article, are:
  • Davis Square Hotel Partners, a combo of Waltham hotel management firm Park Lodge and Denver’s Sage Hospitality empire.
  • A team called Fandetti/Proch-Wilson Partners, which includes the family that transformed an old Cambridge firehouse into the Kendall Hotel.
  • A partnership including Oto Development, a hotel builder created in 2004 by the founders of the Extended Stay America chain.
  • Saracen Properties, a Hub commercial real estate firm, teaming with architect CBT, Transit Realty Advisors and Pyramid Hotel Group, a hotel manager based in Boston.
There has been an advisory committee convened for this project through legislation submitted by Ward 6 Alderwoman Rebekah Gewirtz in January.

Is this the same Proch Wilson who built the property on Willow Ave that went against the permits he was issued?
