Update: Somerville to Declare Snow Emergency
The City of Somerville will be declaring a snow emergency in anticipation of tomorrow's expected weather conditions.
Posted on their Facebook page, the City states, "Later today the City will declare a snow emergency and the start time as well as any closures will be announced via the City alert system (by phone, text, email), the City website, social media, and news outlets. We are waiting for midday forecasts to set the exact start time and will provide ample warning for you to move your cars after the work day. If you have not signed up for City alerts, please do so at www.somervillema.gov/cty."
Once the emergency is declared, residents will have four hours to move their cars to the odd-numbered sides of streets or to designated snow-emergency parking lots.
