A third candidate, Laura Pitone, has announced her desire to be elected to the Ward 5 School Committee seat come November. Laura joins Ross Richmond and Caroline Shea Rosas in the race for this position.
She writes in an email, "
Yes, I have decided to run for School Committee in Ward 5. Thanks to everyone who took the time to help inform my decision. You have all been so encouraging and thoughtful. Considering running has been energizing and look I forward to the broader community dialogue about our children and our schools the campaign with bring. I hope I can count on your support for my candidacy."
