What's going on at 235 Lowell St.?
Currently Winter Hill Auto Body shop. Word is nineteen condos proposed to be built there.
Has the building been sold?

Why hasn't the neighborhood been advised (until yesterday) as to getting residents input?

Also, who is the $$$$ developer----why the "secrecy?"-----meaning the late notice to the residents.

A proposal to build 6 units at 235 Lowell Street, Walnut Hill Auto Body Shop, will be presented this evening at a 6pm on-site meeting.

There seems to have been a mix-up in the flyering with a neighbor informing me that they did not receive one, but the developer's attorney telling me that all flyering was done. Because of this, I will be asking for a second community meeting to give residents an opportunity to voice their recommendations and receive answers to their concerns.

I hope to see you at tonight's meeting!

Surprised the item did not make this blog until now, and only because of a resident's query post.

Anonymous,

There is absolutely no one to blame, but me. My role as the Ward 5 Alderman pulls me in many different directions and this website has suffered greatly because of it. I will place a post about it now and, once the second community meeting is scheduled, will post about that accordingly.

My apologies,
Courtney O'Keefe

I appreciate the offering of second meeting. It's pretty clear the flyering issue wasn't your fault.

I did receive a flyer and am curious who didn't. I live on Woodbine.

I believe there is a city mandate that all residents homes within a specified radius distance from the proposed site must be notified in writing. That was not done until on a 2nd belated go-around yesterday.

The lawyer for the developer should of known of the city mandate----or, at minimum should of checked with city hall planning department.
