The Ward 5 ResiStat meeting was held last night at the Kennedy School (5 Cherry Street) from 6:30-8:30pm. Recaps on all discussed topics will be posted soon!
Big congratulations to Ward 5 resident Christine Guelpa, the recipient of the Thomas Chetham Award for Firefighter of the Year presented by American Legion Post 19. Christine was also given a citation from the entire Board of Aldermen for her achievement.
Congratulations are also in order for Daddy Jones Bar who celebrated their 1st Birthday with residents and friends on Monday night. The soirée included fried bacon on a stick, their famous Mac N’ Cheese and other Hors d'oeuvres.
There are lots of events coming up in the next few weekends including a benefit for Michael Terrio at On The Hill Tavern on November 30th (7:30pm), the Local is for Lovers Market presented by Somerville Local First also on November 30th and December 22nd (9:00am), and the start of the Winter Farmer’s Market on December 7th (9:30am)-all of which are being held at the Armory.
