The Committee will be taking up three items on the agenda after approving the minutes from three previous meetings held back in 2010. During this time, the Committee met to discuss changes surrounding the Open Meeting Law.
The agenda items include the following three pieces of legislation submitted this month through the Board of Aldermen.
• 196083: Recommend That this Board amend the Rules of the Board, to eliminate the Information Technology Committee as a Standing Committee.
• 196084: Recommend That this Board amend the Rules of this Board, to establish a procedure for maintaining the minutes and reports of this Board and its committees.
• 196115: Recommend That this Board amend the Rules of this Board, to establish a procedure for the joint sponsorship of items.
The Rules Special Committee includes Alderman at Large Mary Jo Rossetti, Ward 6 Alderman Rebekah Gewirtz and is chaired by Alderman At Large Bill White.
