Snow Emergency to be Lifted at 6:30pm

Somerville will be lifting it's snow emergency at 6:30 PM tonight. Residents have two hours to move their cars out of municipal lots starting at 6:30.

Please also note that per City ordinance, property owners have six daylight hours following the lifting of a snow emergency in which to clear snow and ice from sidewalks. Paths must be shoveled to a minimum width of 42 inches, and snow may not be shoveled into the street. Failure to comply with these regulations will result in fines.

For additional information about snow emergency policies, please visitwww.somervillema.gov/snow. If you have questions, call 311 (617-666-3311 from outside the city).
