Ward 5 to be Gun Violence Listening Tour Stop

State Representative Harold Naughton will travel to Somerville to co-host a Gun Violence Listening Tour with Mayor Joseph Curtatone. Since April, Representative Naughton has held various listening tours around the Commonwealth with local elected officials, law enforcement and concerned constituents. In addition to the listening tours, Representative Naughton has conducted five statewide legislative hearings in his capacity as House Chairman of the Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee, on the proposed legislation regarding current and future gun laws in Massachusetts.

The purpose of the listening tour is to engage local residents, elected officials, and public safety personnel in a public forum to discuss issues related to firearms and the best possible methods to reduce and ultimately eliminate firearm violence.

This listening tour stop will be held at the Visiting Nurses Association (259 Lowell Street) in third floor community room on Friday March 14th at 10:30am. All concerned citizens are encouraged to attend this important event.

Naughton, etc. are preaching to the choir.

The "bad guys"are not listening!
Areas in Boston are in the news practically every week with stories of gun violence. Never ending in spite of enhanced "pressure" from law enforcement.

Guys who get caught supplying weapons to bad guys should automatically get prison time.
