Land Use Committee to Meet on Thursday

The Land Use Committee will be holding a joint meeting/Public Hearing with the Planning Board to discuss legislative item number 196187: That the Zoning Ordinances are hereby amended at Section 5.2.5 to add two new subsections, to avoid creating adverse impacts on the stock of existing affordable housing, and to insure compliance with the objectives of the Somervision Plan.

According to the description, ""(i) Housing Impact. Will not create adverse impacts on the stock of existing affordable housing; and (j) Somervision Plan. Complies with the objectives of the Somervision Plan, including the mix between residential and commercial development and the construction of housing units that provide an appropriate mix of bedrooms." This legislation was submitted by Alderman At Large Bill White in January and is the only item on the agenda.
