Board of Aldermen Committee on Public Utilities Public Works Set to Meet on Wednesday

The Committee on Public Utilities and Public Works will be meeting on Wednesday May 7th at 6PM in second floor Committee Room of City Hall.

The agenda can be found on the City's meeting portal. Agendas need to be posted 48 hours before the meeting per the Open Meeting Law.

The Public Utilities Public Works Committee has long battled utility companies in removing old apparatus off of NStar poles, allowing the removal of "double poles" that pose as an eyesore and danger to Somerville neighborhoods.

The committee is chaired by Ward 3 Alderman Bobby McWatters and includes Ward 4 Alderman Tony LaFuente and Alderman At Large Bill White as voting members.
