Daddy Jones Bar Presents Patio Plans to Public

Daddy Jones Bar presented its plans for a patio on the back of their 525 Medford Street location to visitors on Monday May 19th at a 6pm community meeting hosted by Owner Dimitra Tsouranis and facilitated by Ward 5 Alderman Mark Niedergang and Alderman At Large Mary Jo Rossetti.

The proposed 32-seat extension is located on private property and will face Broadway. Mobile trellises will provide privacy while umbrellas will block the sun from dining patrons. Attendees spoke in support of the addition and Tsouranis hinted at the addition of a juice bar and lunch hours to utilize the patio as much as possible. A 9:30pm shut-down time is also being proposed.

The Magoun Square eatery is now headed to the Zoning Board of Appeals in June for a formal hearing in the hopes of being approved.
