Vernon Street Parking Removal Approved by Traffic Commission

To ease traffic congestion at the Lowell/Vernon Street intersection, the Traffic Commission approved parking spot removals that will allow cars to enter Vernon while giving exiting vehicles more room to pull onto Lowell.

These changes come in the wake of increased safety concerns for the urban connector between Highland Avenue and Medford Street, including, a serious car accident at the entrance of MaxWells Green.

The Traffic Commission took the item up at their Thursday May 15th meeting held at the TAB Building, convening at 6pm. 

Signs will be placed in the coming weeks notifying residents of the parking changes.
