When I noticed that the City was moving forward with safety initiatives for Lowell Street, I didn't realize how fast they intended on making changes.
I received a notification through the Magoun Square Nextdoor site that the City had started painting Lowell Street between 11 PM and midnight last night.
Waking up this morning, Lowell Street greeted me with new center lines and the chicane warning signs that were black-bagged as of yesterday.
There is also parking allowed (and removed) throughout the street as the City aims to slow drivers down coming from Highland to Medford. The painted grid lines act as the chicane.
