Spring Hill Tool/Stuff Share

If you've ever found yourself in need of a tool or other item that's just too expensive to buy or rent-look no further than Tim Devin's Spring Hill Tool/Stuff Share Google Doc to borrow an item from a neighbor.

Devin explains, "There's a passworded Google doc that members check. It lists everything that people are willing to share, and their contact info. Members can check it, and then contact the owners to see how long they can borrow it for. Unlike other toolshares, there's no central place where members have to leave their tools fulltime for others to use; this way, you keep your drill or whatever in your house, and other people can come and borrow it if you're not using it."

Devin also offered to assist people in starting their own tool share program in other parts of the City.

If you or your neighbors are interested in participating or starting your own, please feel free to email me and I'll give you all the details to get in touch with Tim and begin sharing!

Now even borrowing your neighbors snow shovel requires Google.

There's a guy in my neighborhood that would benefit from something like this including sugar, ketchup and toilet paper :)
