Discussions Continue on Central Broadway Streetscape Improvement Project

Discussions on the City's plans for the Central Broadway Streetscape Improvement Project will continue on Wednesday September 10th from 6:30 - 8:00 PM at the Healey School cafeteria, 5 Meacham Street. See official meeting flyer courtesy of Somerville By Design.

This meeting is a follow-up to a presentation and interactive small-group session held on April 16th at the Winter Hill Community School that saw the school's cafeteria filled with residents concerned about the project and how it would impact cyclists, pedestrians and improving the connection between Magoun Square and Winter Hill. See this Somerville Times recap written by Douglas Yu.

Describing the project, Somerville By Design states on their website, "...we’ll work towards a design that will improve the safety and functionality of the corridor for all modes. The project runs along Broadway from and including the Route 28/McGrath Highway intersection to just east of Magoun Square."

Check out the Somerville By Design page dedicated to this project for notes, the official mindmixer and presentation documents.
