The Word Around The Ward

Another new business has entered Magoun Square, taking over the Mr. Jesus location at 503B. Looks like an eatery and will be interesting to see what MoMos will be offering the Square.

Ward 5 Online bids farewell to a few neighbors who have found new homes out of state. Good luck with all your endeavors and know that you're always welcome back to the Ville!

A big happy birthday goes out to Rich Lochiatto who celebrated on August 31st!

The City seems to be reaching out to new residents in full force with a Welcome page that has been all over their social media scene. Check out the page if you're new...it has everything you need to transition well into Somerville life.

Spotted in Magoun Square was our next Chief of Police David Fallon grabbing a coffee at Dunkin Donuts on Labor Day.

It was great to see former Ward 3 Alderman/Alderman Emeritus Tom Taylor at Tuesday's grand opening of the Assembly Square Orange Line Station. The tent was packed with City and State Officials, as well as, almost the full Board of Aldermen. Almost.

That's another "plus" for the new chief, he knows where all the donut places in the city are located. :-)

I'm glad he, a Somerville product, is our new chief.
