I believe the powers-that-be are using good sense by not issuing resident tickets during this exceptional snowfall.

Thank God for that!!

I also know for a fact that our Somerville Police are out there doing a great job; performing many acts of kindness; and for cars parked illegally they first make an attempt to locate the Somerville owners to move their cars before issuing a ticket and/or towing.
Only ticket and/or tow if the owner cannot be located.

Generally no mercy shown if the subject vehicle is registered from out of town.

I know all of the above because I hear their radio calls to and from the police despatcher on my police scanner

Also, neglected to cite the good work being done by our Fire Department and DPW workers. Sure they are being paid overtime money, but definitely physically exerting. Hope they all find time for a few hours of rest before going out again=====and stay safe!!
