Land Use Committee to Hold Public Meeting on Zoning Overhaul

The Land Use Committee will hold a public meeting on the proposed zoning overhaul this Wednesday May 6th at 6pm in the Aldermanic Chambers of City Hall.

For those of you playing at home, Somerville zoning has not been updated since the 1990's. Members of OSPCD submitted a zoning overhaul to the Board of Aldermen for approval this past December after conducting a summer-long series of seminars, ward-based meetings and creating a website to gather public comment and zoning map ideas. The 300+ page document has a few more weeks to be considered before expiring and having to be re-submitted.
