I don't know how long you have...Hey poster #1.<br /><br />I don't know how long you have been in this city, but if you moved into this city (not born and raised here) the "welcoming committee" either failed to mention, or you weren't paying attention to the "first rule" that all residents must comply with:<br />i.e. pay your tax bill, WATER BILL , and rent when due; and don't make "waves" otherwise you will not even get a courtesy short notice water shut off in the future.<br /><br />It appears the second poster has been "straightened out"!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495259053695893001.post-10101134424184689512013-10-07T08:53:56.075-04:002013-10-07T08:53:56.075-04:00The city will tell you (and the city water departm...The city will tell you (and the city water department has recently done so verbally and in print) that they have no<br />legal obligation or mandate to give advance notice(s) for water shut-offs.<br />Any advance notice announced at all is looked upon (by them) as a COURTESY on their part---as told to me.<br /><br />I know first hand after registering a complaint via a phone call to the water department regard a water shout-off in my neighborhhood. No phon...Why didn't the city notify us of this? No phone call. No flyer in the mailbox. If I wasn't looking at facebook, I would not have known about this.
