Aftermath Of Fisk Avenue Fire

A Somerville Firefighter observes a house on Fisk Avenue after a late night fire started in the basement and quickly engulfed the house all the way up to the attic.

Also tonight, a resident was hit in the head with a street sign after a four-inch fire hose was ripped out of a hydrant on Hinkley Street. The hose was connected, but ripped out as the truck approached the fire. The street sign was pulled striking the resident in the head while the hose tore down the fence around the front of his house.
