Green Line Extension Meeting Summaries Are Published and Field Testing Continues

A summary from the September public meeting has been published!

Field Survey: Weeks ending 10/15/10 and 10/22/10:

• Bridge survey within the Lowell Commuter Rail corridor at Cedar Street in Somerville
• Field edit* of proposed maintenance facility plans in Somerville
• Field locate** railroad right-of-way in Somerville

* The survey manager will verify in the field that all features have been accurately located on the base plan.
** Mark or identify features on site based on a record plan.

Boring Program: Weeks ending 10/15/10 and 10/22/10:

• Borings within the MBTA Fitchburg Commuter Rail right-of-way between McGrath Highway and the Boston Engine Terminal in Somerville
• Borings within the MBTA Lowell Commuter Rail right-of-way between Cedar Street and Washington Street in Somerville
• Borings within the MBTA Lowell Commuter Rail right-of-way between Harvard Street in Medford and Broadway in Somerville
• Maintenance facility borings off Third Avenue in the Inner Belt area of Somerville

Boring typically occurs between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM on weekdays.
