Armory Café To Be Filled With Ghost Stories On October 27th!

The Arts at the Armory, fresh off the great announcement that the cafe is now open, is hosting a Ghost Story reading on Thursday October 27th featuring performances by Senator Pat Jehlen, Mayor Joe Curtatone and Me! Yes, I will be included in the first round of readers starting at 8pm!

If you plan on attending, the suggested donation is a non-perishable item for a local food pantry and whatever monetary donation you would like to give to Arts at the Armory. What do you get in exchange? The Facebook invitation states, "A night of local beer, local celebrities and local scares! The event will be highlighting such local luminaries as Mayor Curtatone, Ronald Leaks of Groundwork Somerville, many surprise guests, and maybe even a visit from our resident Armory ghost! Come check out the new Cafe @ the Armory, laugh with old friends, meet new friends and support a great local non-profit, the Center for Arts at the Armory. We'll have some special halloween treats, a cash bar, great conversation and SCARY ghost stories!"

Sounds good to me!

The Café space is described on the Armory's website as: "The charming alcoved suite on your left upon entering the Armory, perfect for readings and intimate events. The café space covers over 1,200 square feet, and includes the use of 15 hand-finished Singer stand café tables. Snacks and beverages can be served during regular business hours and extended into the evening for coffee house events. The capacity is up to 52, and a wheelchair accessible unisex restroom is available within the space."
