"After the Mobility Revolution" Workshop to be Held at Armory

On September 13th from 10 - 2 PM, the Union Square Neighbors will be hosting a workshop: "After the Mobility Revolution" which will pose the question: “What will happen when cars no longer dictate the shape of our cities?” according to an email from member, Shuyϋn Lai Talun.

She writes, "In a community like Somerville, with more than one third of today’s land dedicated to roads and parking, and with less open space than any city in the Northeast, how will a mobility revolution -- reduced car ownership, automated vehicles, and shifting global economics -- impact development, community building and prosperity?"

The event is organized by the New England Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU New England), the US Audi Urban Future Team, and the Union Square community for expert-led participatory design and discussion about what a mobility revolution can mean for our American city.
