Caution When Navigating Through Magoun Square!

I wanted to take a moment to alert everyone traveling through Magoun Square to take extra precaution during this phase of the project.

Currently, there are sidewalks being poured, leaving gaps, exposed pipes, and holes in the heart of the square.

Although the construction is progressing at a great rate, with sidewalk installation expected to be completed in two weeks, there is still much more work to be done!

Please assist elderly and disabled neighbors during this time and if you have any questions or concerns, please contact Alderman Sean O'Donovan through his page here at Ward5Online.Com!

Excellent advice.

The corner of Lowell and Medford streets is particularly dangerous since right now there is no sidewalk at all (as shown in photo #1). My dog and I almost got hit by a car turning onto Lowell from Medford Street since we had to walk in the street and I don't think the driver was paying much attention.

Be careful out there!

Thanks, Kelsey!

Another one of our readers also found the newly paved sidewalks unsafe as they have large gaps in between the sidewalk and curb.

I'll be posting pictures of those tonight.
